Pegasus Operating Advisor Terry Tamminen is featured in a Honda brochure, taking delivery of an FCX, an early model hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. Former Secretary of the California EPA, Mr. Tamminen is referred to as "The Father of the Hydrogen Highway."
Portfolio company Lighting Science Group designed and produced the lighting system for the new Times Square New Year's Eve Ball that ushered in 2009. At 12 feet in width, the ball is double the diameter of last year's model and weighs 11,875 pounds. Ms. Reiss and Mr. Tamminen, former senior advisors to the Governor, were principal architects of the summit which brought together world leaders to address practical solutions to the climate change challenge. Twelve-year-old Mimi Ausland established her own online charities to feed dogs and cats in rescue shelters. Her success garnered so much attention that Ellen DeGeneres, part-owner with Pegasus of Halo, Purely for Pets, invited Mimi on her show in October, 2008. In appreciation of Mimi's efforts on behalf of animals, Halo donated $20,000 of food to Mimi's organizations. Mimi has posted a blogon Halo's web site.
